Job Overview
We are seeking a scrappy and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Outbound Sales Specialist to help build a strong sales pipeline and drive early customer acquisition. In this role, you will take ownership of outbound prospecting, initiate meaningful conversations with potential customers, and convert interest into qualified meetings and scheduled product demos.
You will play a key role in the company’s early growth by identifying potential clients, understanding their pain points, and positioning the company as the ideal solution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys experimenting with outreach strategies, and is motivated by measurable results.
You will work closely with the Founder to refine messaging, test new outbound approaches, and help shape the go-to-market (GTM) strategy as the company scales.

Monday – Friday, Flexible between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Nashville, TN Time (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities
Prospect Identification & Lead Generation
Source and qualify potential prospects across target industries using platforms such as Apollo, LinkedIn, and other sales intelligence tools
Outbound Outreach
Execute outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels to initiate conversations with potential customers
Demo Scheduling & Coordination
Convert qualified interest into scheduled product demos and ensure smooth handoffs to the appropriate team members
Customer Discovery
Identify and understand customer pain points, business challenges, and needs to effectively position the company as the right solution
Pipeline Management
Maintain accurate pipeline data and track all outreach activity in CRM and sales tools
Performance Tracking
Monitor outreach performance, response rates, and conversion metrics to continuously improve results
Outbound Strategy Experimentation
Test new outreach methods, messaging strategies, and targeting approaches to improve engagement and demo conversion
Collaboration with Leadership
Work closely with the Founder on messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy as the company scales
Requirements
Proven experience in B2B SaaS sales, Sales Development Representative (SDR), or outbound prospecting roles
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects
Experience using modern sales tools such as Apollo, Instantly, CRM platforms, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Ability to research prospects and tailor outreach messages effectively
Comfortable working with metrics and performance targets
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple conversations and leads simultaneously
Qualifications
Self-starter who thrives in a startup environment with minimal supervision
Enjoys building systems, processes, and playbooks from scratch
Highly motivated and results-driven with a strong ownership mindset
Curious and analytical, always looking to improve outreach performance and conversion rates
Comfortable experimenting with new sales strategies and messaging approaches

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
