Job Description:

You’ll be the financial backbone for a multi-entity operation, where your bookkeeping expertise directly impacts business success across diverse revenue streams. This role offers the perfect blend of variety and stability – managing complex financial structures while working with an experienced Director of Finance who appreciates skilled professionals and provides the support you need to excel. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity across all entities while contributing to streamlined month-end processes.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (US Eastern Time), with a 1-hour unpaid break

Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive month-end close processes across eight different business entities
  • Maintain and update bank feeds to ensure accurate financial tracking across all entities
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently
  • Post monthly journal entries with precision and attention to detail
  • Support additional finance projects and ad-hoc tasks throughout the week
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the timely completion of all financial processes
  • Contribute to process improvements and financial system optimization

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with US-based companies and a solid understanding of US accounting practices
  • Strong proficiency in bookkeeping software and financial management systems
  • Ability to work consistently during US business hours with a reliable internet connection
  • Excellent English communication skills for seamless team collaboration
  • Experience with multi-entity bookkeeping operations is highly valued
  • Bonus if you thrive in fast-paced environments and can hit the ground running
  • It helps if you’re detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

Side Note:

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
