Role Overview
The Director, Business Development will play a critical role in driving new business growth, focusing on identifying, developing, and closing U.S. market opportunities within the clinical trials software (RTSM/IRT) space. This is a high-impact role for a results-driven sales professional with strong experience in B2B software sales within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives by selling RTSM/IRT clinical trial software to pharmaceutical and biotech companies
- Consistently achieve and exceed company sales targets
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities
- Educate clients on the value of innovative clinical trial technology platforms
- Maintain accurate sales records using CRM/sales force automation systems
- Provide weekly updates on sales activities and pipeline progress to leadership
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations on Endpoint’s platform
- Develop quotes and proposals using standardized templates
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and go-to-market plans
Authority & Accountability
- Negotiate client budgets and commercial agreements
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of all responsibilities
- Drive success by winning new business contracts and customer awards
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective listening and communication abilities (written and verbal)
- Ability to clearly present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Native-level German language proficiency
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in RTSM/IRT or pharmaceutical services sales
- Proven success in B2B software sales within life sciences
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a sales team
- Structured and strategic approach to prospecting and pipeline development
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Salary
£95,000 – £105,000 per year (Permanent, Full-Time)
