Strategic Senior Ecologist (possibly Associate)
Leeds

I have been approached by a client of mine who are at heart a landscape architecture and urban design organization with plans to expand some aspects of what they do to offer a more rounded service to clients.

Currently they work hand in hand with ecology consultancies for some aspects of what they need and whilst that works fine, what they fundamentally seek is for someone to sit their side of the fence in a more strategic ecology role.

Whilst good ecology experience is an absolute must, this role is much less about the surveys, reporting etc and is very much focused on the higher level masterplanning and bigger picture thinking.

Sitting at the top table with clients in early planning, this role would see early interface in offering initial BNG advice as an example and plotting out with clients how that might be achieved. Much more about planning.

It will also be taking a key role in a design review of some of their own landscape and urban planning and helping to round the plan off for a more seamless client offering.

Role is Leeds based, with a hybrid approach

Full time is preferred but 0.8 is possible for the right person.
